RARYS Coach Administration Checklist

  • Complete mandatory WYSA Risk Management.  $10 Background Check Fee Reimbursed by RARYS
  • Complete Team Form and submit 
  • Attend Coaches Meeting
    • Sign RARYS Coaches Code of Conduct
    • Pick up coaching equipment provided by RARYS (First aid kit, balls, cones, pinnies)
    • Obtain a roster (Only rostered players can play.  An un-rostered child is not medically insured under the RARYS program)
  • Contact Assistant Coach
    • Establish practice schedule (time and location)
      • Enter your practice time on the Practice Time/Field Reserve spreadsheet
    • Provide Contact Information
  • Contact Parents
    • Use contact information for all parents you are given (ex. don’t just contact one parent, contact both if you have the information for both)
    • Get confirmation from parents that they received your contact (this allows you to reach out individually if someone does not respond)
    • Try emailing and texting for initial contact, phone call if someone doesn’t respond.  Then for regular contact, once your number is recognized, texting should suffice.
  • Practice up to 4 times prior to the first games.  Once per week is allowed thereafter.
  • Send out the game schedule to your parents.  RARYS may also provide other information for you to send out during the season.
  • Pick up team jerseys from the concession stand prior to your first game.  Only coaches are allowed to get shirts and distribute to their players.
  • Stay in contact with your players/parents regarding changes to practices or games.
  • Turn in equipment on last game day
  • Encourage players to continue on-going skills development by providing information regarding indoor soccer (Futsal) and spring soccer programs sponsored in the Richland Center Community.
  • Provide feedback and constructive suggestions for improvements
